Dick Durbin [Digg This] Senator Dick Durbin, the #2 Democrat (behind Pelosi), has decided that there will be no more funding for Iraq without limits imposed. Try as I might, I couldn’t bring myself to simply report this one - the contradictions in the Democrat mindset are just too glaring to be left alone, as evidenced in the article. The most obvious contradition is that Durbin, who voted against the war, has continually voted to  fund the war. Now, apparently, he’s “having troubles” with that, and he “can’t let President Bush continue with his failed policy”. Of course, he’s one of the very same Democrats who caved when Bush vetoed the spending bill that had a withdrawal timetable in it, for contradiction number two. And in the third instance of “strong Democratic Party principles”, Durbin has said he would not use his leadership stance in the Democratic party to try and convince other Democrats to follow his lead.
