Apparently, President Bush wants to keep American troops in Iraq for quite some time. He would have them play the same role in Iraq (as a supporting security force) that the US soldiers currently play in South Korea. It’s unfortunate that he doesn’t understand that the very thing that got us attacked in the first place was our presence (soldiers and bases) in the Middle East (particularly Saudi Arabia), and now he wants to add to that, further fueling the anger of our enemies. While we’re at it, we should bring our troops home from South Korea as well!
